Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Northamptonshire, who are recruiting for an Electrician on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, with an annual salary of £39,000 per annum plus company benefits, including a company van provided.
The ideal candidate must have 18th Edition and 2391 Testing & Inspection qualifications, as well as a full UK Driving Licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing all general electrical services including installations and repairs as required, within occupied and void properties; ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Carrying out electrical upgrades, rewires, installations of fuse boards and associated work as instructed, in line with all current regulations
- Supporting in delivering a programme of EICRS in our occupied homes including providing satisfactory certificates following, the completion of remedials
- Identifying any electrical faults or defects and report them via the personal digital assistant (PDA) and ensure the environment is left safe for customers and staff
- Completing detailed and accurate risk assessments before completing any works, ensuring compliance with corporate health and safety policies and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Experience & Skills required:
- Experience of conducting electrical works within domestic housing
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds Inspection & Testing 2391-08
- Proven track record of complying with safe systems of work
