Job description
We are currently working with a Devon based Housing Association who are looking for a Development Manager on a permanent basis, to cover their Devon based developments.
The role is largely going to be site based; however home working is offered where appropriate. The salary banding for the role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum based on experience, as well as an extensive benefits package.
Our client is looking for candidates with experience working with Social Housing, ideally who have covered all aspects of land acquisition, as well as pre-contract and post-contract procedures.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Identifying land for a pipeline of affordable homes, and overseeing the full development process from inception through to completion
Delivering a bespoke development strategy alongside Senior Management, in accordance with the organisation's existing business plan
Managing projects through to handover stage
Co-ordinating shared ownership sales and leasehold management
Liaising with consultants and contractors on behalf of the organisation
Undertaking financial viability appraisal, as well as applying for grant funding from Homes England where viable
Experience required:
Relevant experience within the Housing or Construction industry
Experience within a target-based position
An understanding of contractor selection, in particular for new build properties
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
RICS or professional accreditation is desirable
Full UK Driving License
Confident working within a range of settings, including in tenanted homes and construction sites
Able to communicate with internal staff and contracts
Strong attention to detail

Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, however there can be flexibility on these hours
