Job description
Our client, based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Deputy Housing Manager on a permanent basis.
It is full-time role working 40 hours per week and has an annual salary of £28,829.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with ex-offenders, be willing to have an Enhanced DBS carried out and also have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting in the management of the referral process in order to achieve the agreed occupancy and target levels
Working with the police and probation services along with the Local Authority’s housing departments in order to ensure that prospective clients meet all of the service’s statutory criteria
Assisting in feeding back to both applicants and referrals upon the selection and de-selection of applications for accommodation
Leading in risk assessment and the management of potential risks to the public, staff and others in relation to the referral and letting of properties
Supervising and helping support the development of staff as directed by your line manager
Overseeing in the recruitment, training and supervision of the team
Allocating tasks to staff in order to achieve the key performance indicators of the project
Experience required:
Effectively managing and developing a team of staff
Monitoring performance by conducting appraisals and recording KPI’s
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of the referral system and the lettings process
Strong communication skills to ensure the service runs efficiently

Working hours:
40 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Occasional on-call work (on a rota basis)
