Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Surrey, who are recruiting for a Damp, Mould and Disrepair Administrator on a temporary three month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is £18-£20 via an Umbrella company but can be negotiated dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have used the Northgate system previously, have a Basic DBS and have worked in a similar role previously.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Receiving, processing, and raising a range of Damp, Mould and Disrepair requests from customers, staff, external stakeholders, and other outside agencies by a variety of means including but not limited to email, telephone, web chat, letter, and face to face

  • Administering CRM, Northgate, and other databases in use by the organisation

  • Being proactive, ensuring urgent matters are brought to the attention of the relevant Officers

  • Identifying and processing tenant recharges where applicable

  • Establishing and maintaining effective systems for filing, record keeping, compile statistics, and reports for the service

  • Facilitating and taking minutes for specific meetings as required

  • Ensuring suppliers are paid on time by carrying out all invoice and payment related administrative duties

  • Administering customer enquiries, providing guidance and taking action

  • Maintaining systems and ensuring suitable responses for correspondence and urgent service requests (e.g. complaints, MPs and Environmental Heath)

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Communicates effectively as well as written

  • Customer focused and ability to empathise with customers

  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritise and self motivate.

  • Prioritises and multi-tasks effectively to meet deadlines

  • Ensures policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Works well under pressure/in a team.

  • Understanding of housing maintenence obligations

  • Must have NVQ Level 3 qualification or have ability to demonstrate suitable experience to meet the requirements of the role

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
