We are currently working in partnership with a charity based in Croydon, who are recruiting for a Community Support Officer on a temporary six-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £16 p/h via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with client who have physical disabilities or learning difficulties and hold an enhanced DBS certificate taken out within the last 3 years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Responsible for supporting a caseload of vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs within the community

• Encouraging the independence of the clients at all times

• Assisting with anything which would encourage independence such as dealing with bills, food shops and shopping

• Conducting regular health and safety checks

• Maintaining up to date records at all times and noting any incidents when necessary

Experience required:

• Experience required providing floating support

• Experience managing own diary

• Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Risk assessment and management

• Support plans

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
