Job description

We are working with an esteemed Housing Association based in Derbyshire, who is currently recruiting for a Communities Assistant to join their passionate and pro-active team on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position with hybrid working and a salary of £24,378 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a customer focused environment in a social housing setting, and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing an effective, efficient, and coordinated administrative support to the Community Engagement Project Delivery team and the Communities team

  • Completing and updating action plans for community initiatives, events, and partnership projects; agreeing milestones with other employees and ensuring these are followed up, updated and recorded

  • Supporting the Housing Officers by providing administrative support for estate walkabouts, updates, actions completed and reports for management and feedback to customers via the website, social media updates and newsletters; coordinating works required liaising with other services in the organisation

  • Dealing with correspondence for the team, providing a triage service where necessary and logging customer demands for Housing Officers as appropriate

  • Supporting the teams with subject data access requests received from customers and updating the GDPR team as and when necessary/requested

  • Assisting with collating partnership networks, providing teams with updated information on local community projects / funding opportunities

  • Recording and monitoring social value measures using the HACT model, providing regular updates to the Manager as requested

Experience required:

  • Working in a customer focused environment

  • Administrative duties

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Good standard of general education

  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment

  • Computer literate with experience of MS Office

  • Ability to record information accurately and in a timely fashion

  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative

  • Ability to methodically apply policies & procedures

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
