​Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a purely casework based Childcare Lawyer on a temporary contract for an initial six months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

•    Managed a case load of care

•    Supervising order proceedings and general matters

•    Undertaking legal planning meetings and PLOs

•    Supervising the work of business support and paralegals and provided guidance

•    Providing advice on better work practices for the legal department

•    Assisting principals with cases and duty matters

•    Conducting complex Childcare cases plus PLO, DOLS, SGO, adoption matters, private law matters as well as HRA claims

•    Attending legal planning meetings

•    Delivering client training and represented the council at court user meetings

•    Drafting legal bulletins, and participated in the duty rota

•    Supervising trainee solicitors and paralegal’s work and assisted with the new lawyer induction process

Working hours:

•    35 hours per week

•    Monday - Friday

•    Have to attend the office once a fortnight
