Job description

​We are currently partnering with a reputable housing association, who are recruiting for two Asset Managers to join their growing team on a temporary basis.

This is a temporary position with day rate of up to £350 UMB, and the start date is the 28th of May.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing housing Improvement, construction, service level contracts, associated repair works, and services contracts which include flat roof replacements, garage refurbishments, windows & doors, landscaping and kitchen and bathroom projects.
  • Ensuring contractors plan, programme and complete works in accordance with agreed specifications and schedules and within set performance targets; complying with all current regulations
  • Managing project works and programmes as detailed by the Planned Works Manager ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to specification
  • Ensuring budgetary control is effective and efficient so budgets are not overspent, carry out analysis of budget trends and provide monthly forecasts
  • Carrying out project specific surveys, in accordance with industry and/or agreed process and standards, produce relevant reports and/or agreed outputs, all to maintain agreed programmes for surveys and project works

Experience required:

  • Contract Administration of Construction Projects
  • Maintaining working relationships with Sub Contractors
  • Supervision of contractors
  • Dealing with customer complaints
  • HNC / HND or equivalent level in Building, or Construction related subject

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to embrace change and to contribute to efficient ways of working
  • Building working relationships
  • Business & customer focus
  • Flexibility, Good organisational skills, including prioritising and working to deadlines
