Our client, based in The Midlands, is currently recruiting for an Adaptations & Independent Living Officer on a 3-month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis with an hourly rate of up to £28 via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults, hold a enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years taken out within the last three years and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting residents in adapting their homes to help them live independently for as long as possible

• Assisting individuals with limited mobility through the process of maintaining independence at home

• Delivering customer-focused services that respond to individual needs and promote dignity and autonomy

• Organising and managing your own workload to ensure timely and effective service delivery

• Working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team to achieve shared goals and improve outcomes

• Building trust and strong relationships with residents to provide consistent and reliable support

• Collaborating with partner organisations and agencies to coordinate services and maximise support available to residents

• Completing assessments and referrals as required to facilitate home adaptations and related services

• Contributing to a person-centred approach that prioritises resident choice and empowerment

Expertise required:

• Experience of the DFG process from beginning to end

• Vehicle required

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week

• Monday – Friday

• 3 days working from home per week
