The challenge

Our client was looking for support within their HR team. Our expert consultant took them through the key role responsibilities and salary availability and advised that a Learning & Development Partner would best suit their needs and available budget.

bpha required a candidate who could support the L&D Manager to design and deliver a coaching and development strategy, alongside engaging with managers to champion a development and growth culture throughout the organisation. They would also be responsible for promoting initiatives that encourage self-driven development, high-level performance and customer focus across the business. This combination of requirements created a niche candidate specification.

How did we succeed?

Our sourcing strategy;

  • Assessed the person specification to distinguish between essential and desirable criteria, widening the talent pool by focusing on core requirements.

  • Conducted an extensive search for both active and passive candidates through a multi-channel sourcing strategy, targeting individuals with key skills aligned to the role’s primary responsibilities.

  • Utilised LinkedIn Recruiter to run targeted and professional advertising campaigns, balancing visibility with a discreet approach to attract high-quality applicants.

A total of 38 candidates were contacted within a 1 week period producing a longlist of eight applicants, four of which were progressed to interview.

What were the results?

Following a successful interview phase, we secured a well-suited candidate whose extensive learning & development skills, personality and cultural fit were a perfect match for both the role and organisation.

  • Time between vacancy registration and successful candidate submission: 8 working days

  • Perfect candidate sourced, both experience, cultural and personality fit for the team
