Our client, based in Hertfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Support Worker on a three-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £16.80 per hour via an umbrella company depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults who have complex needs, have an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out needs and risk assessments, completing support plans and carrying out reviews

• Working with our customers in a person centred, recovery focused and trauma informed way

• Supporting customers to maximise their income, to access benefits, and to budget to cover domestic bills and living expenses

• Supporting customers to sustain their housing and identify and move onto housing which meets their needs

• Liaising promptly with colleagues, partner agencies and other stakeholders regarding safeguarding, welfare, and risk concerns

• Participate in customer reviews, team meetings and training courses

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• A good knowledge of the social housing system

• Know how the welfare benefits system works and be able to budget well

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm
