Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in based in Devon, who are recruiting for a Stock Condition Surveyor on a 6-month contract.
The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate for the role is circa £38.00 per hour (Umbrella)
The ideal candidate will have both domestic and commercial experience, have carried out Domestic Energy Assessments and would be confident producing EPCs.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out detailed stock condition surveys across domestic housing, schools, libraries and other public and government buildings to assess asset condition and lifecycle requirements
Inspecting properties in line with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) to identify category 1 and 2 hazards and recommending remedial actions to ensure statutory compliance
Conducting Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments and Domestic Energy Assessments (DEAs), recording accurate data, calculating SAP ratings and issuing certificates in accordance with regulations
Collecting, analysing and uploading condition survey data into asset management systems to inform long-term maintenance planning and capital investment strategies
Identifying structural defects, disrepair, and component deterioration, producing detailed condition reports with photographic evidence and costed recommendations
Liaising with clients, contractors, and building users to arrange access, explain survey outcomes and ensure minimal disruption during inspections
Supporting the development of forward maintenance programmes by providing accurate property data and technical insight on component life expectancy
Ensuring all survey activities were undertaken in accordance with health and safety regulations, building legislation and organisational policies
Using handheld surveying devices, digital data capture tools and asset management software to record accurate and consistent information across the portfolio
Experience required:
Experience carrying out Stock Condition Surveys
Experience producing EPCs
Experience in Contract Administration
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times
