Job description

We are currently partnering with a Housing Association based in Hertfordshire, who are recruiting for a Senior Project Worker, to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Our client delivers housing services across Hertfordshire, making a positive impact in communities.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hour per week, with the requirement to occasionally work on the on-call rota. You will require access to your own vehicle. The role is offering a salary of £27,692 per annum. The role is expected to start in December 2023.


Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Monitoring all project work undertaken to ensure it meets the required standard

  • Processing and managing the referral/interview process for new customers

  • Assisting the Project Manager to provide requests for information as required

  • Supporting young people in achieving their goals by providing an engaging and effective support programme at your Project

  • Keeping yourself, your colleagues and young people safe by meeting health and safety requirements and adhering to the Projects’ and company’s policies and procedures, in particular the Safeguarding and Protection from Abuse Procedure

  • Ensuring young people receive the correct support by working and building effective relationships with wide range of external agencies

  • Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the Project by ensuring all spaces are clean and tidy at all times, including cleaning and tidying empty rooms when necessary

  • Ensuring rent accounts are up to date by working with the staff/residents and following the Projects arrears procedure

Experience required:

  • Experience in staff management and conducting 1-1 meetings and appraisals

  • Experience of working with vulnerable and complex needs

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Line managing and motivating Support Workers to meet their objectives

  • Time management and organisational skills

  • Good IT skills and excellent communication skills

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5:30pm

  • Requirement to occasionally work on the on-call rota
