Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a multidisciplinary development and construction consultancy based in central London, who are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Kent, with hybrid working 2 days home working and a salary of up to £75,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have been a building surveyor for 8 – 10 years and have experience leading projects and acting as a mentor to colleagues.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting in establishing the client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies

  • Preparing & producing JCT intermediate & PPC 2000 contracts

  • Conducting condition surveys and planned preventive maintenance (PPMs)

  • Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc)

  • Analysing site activities; prepare progress reports on time, quality and cost of projects

  • Conducting site visits, assessments and projections for future work

Experience required:

  • MRICS or AssocRICS or willing and able to work towards achieving

  • Private sector experience preferred

  • 8 – 10 years’ experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Producing & administering contracts

  • Excellent oral, written and numeracy skills

  • Supporting management & ability to mentor junior colleagues
