Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in North Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint a Scheduler on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (three days working from home) and a salary of £28,500 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a Scheduler or Works Co-ordinator within a maintenance environment, excellent customer service skills and hold a UK Driving License.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Being the key point of contact for those contacting the housing service regarding repairs and housing maintenance issues

  • Co-ordinating and scheduling reactive and responsive repairs to the appropriate operatives and contractors

  • Dealing with customer telephone and email enquiries at the initial point and escalating to the relevant managers and teams

  • Taking incoming calls from tenants in relation to repairs works

  • Logging calls from tenants and raising repairs request and orders where necessary

  • Post-reviewing work to plan work for the following day

  • Ensuring pre-planned work orders are arranged in a logical and efficient order to complete all tasks

  • Using the in-House System DRS to schedule planned works

  • Monitoring work progress and reallocating as necessary to meet appointment times, targets and performance standards

  • Scheduling work requiring special materials or skills to match anticipated delivery/availability dates

  • Ensuring all customer appointments are attended on time and any materials required are sourced prior to the appointment

Experience required:

  • Experience required in scheduling, planning or repairs

  • Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Compliance and due diligence

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Resilience

  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast paced environment
