Property Inspector
Job description
Our client, based in Bedfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Property Inspector on a permanent basis, with a salary of £34,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with operational delivery of large volume property repairs and planned maintenance services.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Conducting property inspections, diagnosing repairs and identifying solutions for damp and mould and disrepair issues in social housing, recommending effective and cost-efficient repairs /solutions
Providing appropriate guidance and information to customers as required
Inspecting and approving completed works, ensuring they meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements
Managing and maintaining accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation using our management system
Raising maintenance works orders to properties where required (both internal & sub-contracted work) with relevant SOR, ensuring effective recording and reporting and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Carrying out quality Health & Safety audits/inspections
Ensuring properties comply with all housing and safety regulations, including risk assessments and hazard identification
Ensuring that policy reviews are carried out at regular intervals and kept up to date
Assisting in setting departmental targets and act as a key driver in ensuring all relevant maintenance and repairs KPI’s are achieved
Expertise required:
Experience carrying out inspections in domestic properties
Knowledge of planning, building control and other statutory requirements
Understanding Health & Safety requirements
