Do you have proven experience leading HR Operations in a complex, public sector or shared services environment?
We are currently seeking an Interim HR Operations Manager to provide immediate leadership, stability, and operational excellence within our client's HR function during a period of significant transformation.
This is a key role offering the opportunity to shape HR Operations, restore confidence amongst stakeholders, and deliver improvements that will have a lasting impact on service quality and efficiency.
The post is available on an initial interim basis paying £450 per day, with hybrid working arrangements in place.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing leadership and direction to the HR Operations team, supporting and developing staff to deliver high-quality and customer-focused services

Establishing and implementing robust KPIs, SLAs, and service standards to ensure accountability and transparency

Delivering consistent and timely HR operational support across the full employee lifecycle

Partnering with the HR Data & Insights team to improve data quality, reporting, and analytics to inform decision-making

Leading the delivery of an improvement plan, embedding recommendations from audits and transformation reviews

Introducing and refining HR templates, processes, and systems to drive efficiency and scalability

Undertaking detailed workforce resource analysis and making evidence-based recommendations on future service needs

Leading stakeholder engagement to restore confidence in HR Operations and ensure services are trusted, transparent, and aligned to organisational needs
About You:

Extensive leadership experience within HR Operations or Shared Services, ideally in a complex or unionised public sector setting

Proven track record of embedding service standards, SLAs, and performance reporting

Strong background in delivering transformation and process improvements within HR Operations

Skilled in managing HR data integrity, reporting, and analytics

Ability to carry out workforce resource and capacity planning, with an eye on future technology adoption

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and reassure at all levels

Knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in public sector HR operations

Awareness of emerging HR digital tools and ethical AI applications
