Neighbourhood Officer
Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a local authority based near Cardiff, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer on a nine-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a customer focused housing management services, supporting tenants through their tenancies and working closely with Neighbourhood Managers.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering a customer focused housing management service to communities, families and individuals that live in the area in which the post holder works
Supporting tenants in terms of successfully managing their tenancies through early intervention, partnership working and signposting
Undertaking regular estate inspections based on need and liaising with the appropriate departments or agencies to resolve estate-based issues
Carrying out property inspections and viewings in relation to end of tenancy, assisted lettings, garage allocations, gas safety and other periodic tenancy reviews
Assisting the Neighbourhood Manager in ensuring that tenants properties and estates comply with legislation, adopted policies or agreed standards
Working with tenants and residents to establish and develop estate based and community-based solutions
Monitoring the condition of communal areas in respect of fire prevention and Health and Safety and visiting these areas on an agreed scheduled basis completing the necessary logs or monitoring record
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Experience delivering a housing service
Experience undertaking property inspection
Working hours:
37 hours per week - Hybrid Working Available
Monday - Friday, flexible daily hours
