Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Hull, who are looking to appoint a Neighbourhood Coordinator on a three month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (1/2 days home working) and a salary of £19.60 per hour via an Umbrella company

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of providing support to vulnerable tenants living in a patch of properties, have access to a vehicle and hold an enhanced DBS dated within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring efficient and effective management of homes and services within a designated area, working largely on own initiative and without regular on-site supervision

  • Conducting regular tenancy home visits and tenancy audits, updating records and notifying the Neighbourhood Manager of any irregularities in occupancy or condition of properties

  • Carrying out arrears recovery actions, including home visits, income and expenditure assessments, negotiating repayment agreements, and the service of notice of seeking possession

  • Ensuring compliance with tenancy terms and conditions regarding the condition of the home, gardens, parking of motor vehicles, erection of garden sheds or other structures

  • Managing of void properties, including timely completion of pre & post inspection of void works, arranging security, cleaning and co-ordinating minor void repair works, and liaising with Property Services colleagues as necessary

  • Resolving any anti-social behaviour complaints by mediating between parties

Experience required:

  • Delivering Housing Management to vulnerable service users

  • Dealing with ASB issues within a patch of properties
