We are currently partnering with a Devon based Local Authority, who are recruiting for a Maintenance/Disrepair Surveyor to join their Asset team on a contract of 4 months, with views to extend following this period.

This is a full-time position with a rate of £44.52 per hour via an Umbrella company and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing a day to day repairs service to tenants and maintaining the Council’s housing stock
• Completing pre & post surveys within domestic council properties and diagnosing maintenance requirements
• Creating detailed specifications for work and managing contracts and contractors to a high standard through to completion, ensuring high quality repair services are being provided to the Council and tenants
• Managing/refuting disrepair claims and determining which repairs are the tenants’ responsibility

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience completing maintenance/disrepair surveys, ideally within a housing setting
