Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a historic art gallery, who are looking to appoint a M&E Project Manager on a permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Central London, and a salary of £47,355 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and has excellent knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Building systems including BMS

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for the delivery of assigned minor mechanical projects and supervising projects through daily auditing and checking progress through liaising with the project and installation teams
  • Monitoring of programme against progress is essential and coordination with Key NG stakeholders is required to ensure minimal disruption when carrying out integration of new services to the existing infrastructure
  • Liaise with Building and Facilities staff, Gallery users and the Technical Manager on the scope and extent of work, programme, budget and contract documentation for designated projects
  • Take responsibility for projects from inception to completion, to agreed budget and programme, including preparation of detailed specification, schedules and orders for minor works, enabling works, and directly ordered materials
  • Supervise designated projects, with particular attention to the security and safety of the collection, and the safety and convenience of visitors and Gallery staff
  • Liaise with client users, contractors and consultants on day-to-day progress of works; identify decision issues; monitor progress against programme and budget
  • Responsible for selecting, appointing and supervising consultants and contractors and liaising with other Departmental staff

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Building systems including BMS
  • Knowledge of Current CDM regulations
  • Knowledge of interrelationship of building services including efficiency improvements
  • Strong project planning and management skills including application of departmental resources, consultants, staff and budgets

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
