Job description
Our client, based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a permanent Lead Building Surveyor, for a salary of £50,000 per annum (+£1,680 car allowance).
The successful candidate must be educated to HNC level and have proven experience in building management within the social housing, construction, or property sector, demonstrating expertise in asset management and property compliance.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leading, managing, and coordinating the work of the surveying team
Ensuring efficient and effective delivery of responsive repairs and planned maintenance projects
Driving service excellence and maintaining high standards of property upkeep
Ensuring compliance with building safety regulations
Overseeing day-to-day operational delivery of property-related works
Implementing the Stock Investment Programme in line with long-term asset management objectives
Maintaining, improving, and future-proofing properties across the organisation’s portfolio
Leading the delivery of building safety remedial plans
Ensuring statutory compliance and effective risk mitigation measures
Advancing the decarbonisation programme within asset management
Incorporating sustainability principles into property maintenance and improvement works
Driving adoption of energy-efficient solutions to meet net-zero and environmental commitments
Expertise required:
Educated to HNC level or above
Experience of building management within the social housing, construction or property sector
Expertise in asset management and property compliance
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday
