We are currently partnering with a manufacturing and engineering firm, based in Aston (Birmingham), who are recruiting for a HR Generalist to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £33,000 - £40,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting with the full employee life-cycle, including employee relations, recruitment, L&D and training
• Managing difficult and complex employee relations cases, such as grievances, disciplinaries, absences and performance in a unionised environment
• Handling HR Administrative tasks such as gathering information and reporting on key people metrics
• Coaching, advising and guiding managers on HR best practice
• Liaising with trade union representatives

Experience required:

• Experience working within a unionized environment
• Previously managed high-volume employee relations cases
• Coaching and advising line mangers

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Industrial relations skills
• Self-starter who can hit the ground running
• Able to work autonomously
