Job description

We are currently partnering with a leading local employer based in Stoke who, following on from expansion within the HR team are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a full-time permanent basis.

This is ultimately a hybrid position with a salary banding starting at £37,500, and the ideal candidate will be able to start within the coming weeks.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling a varied employee relations caseload, including Sickness Absence Management, Probation, Performance & Capability, Disciplinary, Grievance, Redeployment and Health & Wellbeing

  • Ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are applied, and employment law adhered to

  • Supporting colleagues with payroll administration to ensure staff are paid on time

  • Managing employee absence and occupational health referrals

  • Supporting with recruitment and selection activity

  • Contributing to job evaluation and advising on job design, job description and correct grading

  • Advising managers and staff on terms and conditions

  • Overseeing the new starter, induction and onboarding processes for new staff

  • Delivering any ad-hoc project work, covering OD, talent management, learning & development and workforce planning

Experience required:

  • Handling employee relations casework

  • Producing and processing employment documentation

  • Confident using HR systems

  • Knowledgeable on UK employment law

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • CIPD L5 or signification experience
