Job description

Our client, based in the West Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Operations Manager to join their passionate and driven team on a 3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £30.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing team leadership and leading in the operational delivery of services with a key focus on driving improvement.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborating with the Senior Operations Manager and fellow Operations Managers to meet regional targets and ensure smooth service delivery across Yorkshire

  • Using people management skills to motivate, support, and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Balancing resources and workflows to achieve targets and contractual compliance, while maintaining core values of care, inclusivity, and integrity

  • Travelling regionally (and occasionally nationally) to meet teams, attend meetings, and collaborate with colleagues, while ensuring effective local leadership

  • Leading the Housing Managers to improve efficiency and customer experience

  • Monitoring and improving operational performance, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements across rented and leasehold services

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in a housing management role

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • A strategic thinker with a passion for improving housing services

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Financial management and budgeting

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and conflict management

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
