Job description

We are partnering with a Social Housing provider based in North London, who are looking to grow their team and recruit for an experienced Finance Manager on a full-time permanent basis.

The position is due to start dependent on notice, with a generous salary of £45,000 to £48,000 per annum.

The successful candidate must have a background in the Social Housing sector and have used the Asset 4000 system.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Preparing the monthly management accounts and producing packs and reports for senior budget holders

  • Managing a team of three including Payroll, Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, carrying out performance reviews and appraisals

  • Holding responsibility for reporting, consolidation and analysis – including for cashflow forecasting, capital planning, cost metrics and efficiencies

  • Providing month end review and sign off of balance sheets and deliverables

  • Working closely with the Finance Director, developing best practice across the region, creating and maintaining finance manuals and guides

  • Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register with the nominal ledger

  • Overseeing fixed assets accounting, depreciation journals, fixed asset listing, summaries by categories and fixed asset schedules

  • Taking responsibility for accounts preparation including month end journals and balance

  • sheet reconciliations

  • Preparing the year-end financial statutory accounts including full reporting and reconciliations

Experience and skills required:

  • Background working within the Social Housing sector

  • Previous expeirence of using the Asset 4000 system

  • Fully qualified accountant or QBE

  • Intermediate level of Excel

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (flexible)
