Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the Midlands, who are recruiting for an Environmental Operative on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with an hourly rate of pay of up to £17.50 via an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have a background in labouring and manual lifting, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, and have a full UK Driving Licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Clearing & cleaning of properties vacated by tenants prior to repair or refurbishment, including maintenance of gardens and/or communal spaces
Loading items onto vehicles and driving to various locations where they will be unloaded
Helping with other miscellaneous works relating to properties, communal areas and open spaces on housing
Following inventory lists of property goods to be removed for safekeeping and ensure that such property is handled and loaded onto vehicles in a safe manner that is not detrimental to its condition and safely unloaded for storage
To use a variety of cleaning chemicals in compliance with COSHH regulations, associated cleaning tools and equipment
Experience & skills required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Knowledge of working within void properties
Experience in manual lifting and labouring
Excellent communication skills
Reliable and motivated
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm
