Electrician
Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, who are recruiting for an Electrician on a temporary 3-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent. The hourly rate is from £30-£32 per hour on a CIS basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience of conducting Electrical works within social housing and hold a full UK Driving License.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out electrical testing, repairs and upgrades to tenanted and void properties within social housing
Ensuring work is completed to a high standard
Using a hand-held PDA for all jobs issued, keeping an accurate and timely record of work, accurately recording material allocation and usage, ensuring the closing of completed jobs
Completing detailed and accurate risk assessments before completing any works, ensuring compliance with corporate health and safety policies
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Experience of conducting Electrical works within social housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Knowledge of social housing
Working hours:
40 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm
