Job description

Our Local Authority client based in the South West, is currently recruiting for a Democratic Services Officer on a temporary contract basis until the end of July.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is in the region of £20 - £25 p/h UMB depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience of clerking School Appeals, and working knowledge of Local Government processes is essential.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

    Attending and clerking a number of panels and committees, including School Appeals Meetings, Planning Meetings and Cabinet Meeting

    Carrying out general Democratic services duties on an ad-hoc basis as required

    Taking comprehensive notes of the meeting and resolutions, and production of draft minutes within agreed timescales
