Job description
Our client, based in Stratford, is currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer on a 3-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position, ranging from £20 - £24 per hour.
The ideal candidate will ensure the client manages its homes in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements and best practice to provide the highest level of assurance on compliance to provide safe homes for its customers.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing remedial actions and ensure the actions are completed within the recommended timescale that is stated on compliance related risk assessments for example for FRAs, Asbestos, Legionella & Fire Safety, etc.
Assisting the Contracts and Compliance Manager in maintaining good working relationships with Contractors and ensure the contracts are managed effectively
Checking and loading certification on the database
Raising orders for recommendations from certs to ensure they become compliant
Overseeing the administration of the compliance programmes to ensure they are running smoothly
Using Schedule of Rate (SOR) codes when raising Work Orders
Helping resolve incoming complaints from tenants that are dissatisfied
Progressing any compliance fails until the fails has been fully resolved
Flagging any H&S issues and compliance breaches to manager to allow management of risk
Ensuring asset data is updated and reliable
Attending contractor meetings and take minutes
Supporting with internal and external audit checks and ensure all processes are followed and adhered to
Providing cover for other teams within Operations if required and to provide additional support during annual leave
Using reporting tools to analyse our data surrounding our compliance services and take the required action for anything non-compliant as agreed by the Contracts and Compliance Manager
Working with the team to support, develop and improve existing internal processes to ensure the team is as effective and efficient as possible
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
