We are currently working in partnership with a private practice based in London, who are recruiting for a CDM Principal Designer/Advisor on a permanent contract. The position is due to start soon with a salary between £40,000-£55,000.
The ideal candidate will demonstrable health & safety skills, a minimum of 2 years in the construction industry and a professional qualification in H&S (or the motivation for obtaining one).
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Collaborating closely with Head of Construction Design & Management under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Take part in projects at all RIBA stages 1-6 and spearheading the planning, management and monitoring of health and safety during pre-construction phases
Acting as a key advisor to clients, facilitating and gathering critical preconstruction data to ensure seamless flow of information for designers and contractors
Forging strong collaborations with fellow designers on each project to identify and eliminate foreseeable health and safety risks
Maintaining consistent lines of communication with the principal contractor so they are well-informed about any potential risks throughout the construction phase
Health & Safety skills in construction sector
2 years’ experience in design domain
Professional qualification in Health & Safety or equivalent
