Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Educational Institution based in Middlesex, who are recruiting for a Business Support Manager on a temporary basis until December 31st.The position is due to start at the beginning of October, with the potential for extension. The annual salary for this role is £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will be an organised, strategic leader with strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, ensuring smooth operations, team development, compliance, and safeguarding within the educational institution.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Overseeing the overall management of financial, administrative, and support functions
Managing and developing administrative staff to ensure efficient team operations
Ensuring proper budgeting, resource allocation, and staff management within the extended schools function
Handling all data protection and ensuring school compliance with GDPR regulations to protect personal information
Leading key projects and providing strategic guidance through accurate and timely report
Proactively reviewing resources, advising leadership, and aligning budget plans with the school development plan
Accurately recording and monitoring of staff absence and HR-related information for compliance and staff management
Ensuring safety procedures and compliance for all school trips and site maintenance, including liaising with the Site Manager
Experience required:
Educational management experience
Experience in managing and leading staff
Experience in Project management e.g. building projects
Ability to analyse, interpret, collate and present management information through reports and plans
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
High level IT skills particularly in Excel spreadsheets and Word
Strategic approach to planning and business development
Understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of safeguarding/Child Protection
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
