Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Yate & Staple Hill, who are recruiting for an Assistant Supported Housing Team Leader on a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately, with a salary of £26,766.00 per annum

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead by example, in delivering excellent customer service and sets a clear agenda. They should be self-motivated and tenacity, with the ability to work under pressure at times, manage competing priorities and organise workload effectively

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • You will be responsible for line management of one Supported Housing Officer and when necessary, cover other local services and line manage up to 5 individuals

  • Responsible of the Health and Safety of the service and managing petty cash where necessary

  • Responsible for managing KPIS, conducting performance reviews and taking care of new starters induction & training

  • Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure income maximization

  • Assisting vulnerable clients with general housing management issues, such as ASB queries, Tenancy management and Income support

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co -produced planned programme of support

  • Assessing the support needs and risks of individuals in line with the organisation Support Delivery and Risk Management procedures

  • Working in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the effective delivery of support and improve outcomes for those receiving our services

  • Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisation procedures

  • Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure income maximisation

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
