Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a reputable Housing Association, who are looking to appoint an Asset Investment Manager on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in the East Midlands, with hybrid working (dependent on the business need) and a salary of £56,250 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant HND or equivalent, experience of a similar role within social housing and hold a full UK Driving License

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading an asset investment team, consisting of a Senior Project Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Property Surveyor and Apprentice Surveyor (Building/Quantity), to deliver the annual asset investment programme

  • Ensuring effective and consistent management of contracts for asset investment and supporting the delivery of compliance contracts

  • Leading on contract management, performance management and budgetary control across projects

  • Ensuring resident liaison regarding investment plans, delivering a customer-focussed service through partnership with contractors

  • Managing one-off property surveys for disrepair, planned/project works and stock condition surveying

  • Monitoring and managing the delivery of M&E contracts and contractors in relation to investment programmes

Experience required:

  • Experience of delivering asset investment programme of works and services to leaseholders and tenants

  • Experience in managing a multi-site service

  • Track record of developing performance in an operating and service delivery environment

  • Experience of managing change and embedding performance cultures

  • Experience of managing and developing staff to work independently and exercising judgement

  • Experience of budget performance for projects

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the housing sector

  • Knowledge and understanding of building construction, property maintenance and improvements

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills

  • Ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines

  • Ability to identify customer needs and develop appropriate solutions

  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences
