Job description
We are proud to be partnering with a reputable Housing Association, who are looking to appoint an Asset Investment Manager on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based in the East Midlands, with hybrid working (dependent on the business need) and a salary of £56,250 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant HND or equivalent, experience of a similar role within social housing and hold a full UK Driving License
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Leading an asset investment team, consisting of a Senior Project Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Property Surveyor and Apprentice Surveyor (Building/Quantity), to deliver the annual asset investment programme
Ensuring effective and consistent management of contracts for asset investment and supporting the delivery of compliance contracts
Leading on contract management, performance management and budgetary control across projects
Ensuring resident liaison regarding investment plans, delivering a customer-focussed service through partnership with contractors
Managing one-off property surveys for disrepair, planned/project works and stock condition surveying
Monitoring and managing the delivery of M&E contracts and contractors in relation to investment programmes
Experience required:
Experience of delivering asset investment programme of works and services to leaseholders and tenants
Experience in managing a multi-site service
Track record of developing performance in an operating and service delivery environment
Experience of managing change and embedding performance cultures
Experience of managing and developing staff to work independently and exercising judgement
Experience of budget performance for projects
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge and understanding of the housing sector
Knowledge and understanding of building construction, property maintenance and improvements
Excellent organisational and project management skills
Ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
Ability to identify customer needs and develop appropriate solutions
Excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences
