Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading charity organisation based in Newham, who are recruiting for an Assessment Hub Caseworker to join their growing team on a 1 month on going contract.
Our client is proud to be recognised as an international charity with a key focus on substance misuse
and criminal justice intervention projects.
This is a full-time position with an hourly rate up to £21 (UMB) and due to start immediately.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a caseload of 10/15 homeless clients who are rough sleeping across East London
Clients can stay up to 28 days in the service, in which time you’ll create tailored support plans to assist clients to move-on from the service and obtain long term accommodations
Working closely with the metal health and substance misuse teams to address the clients complex issues
Advise on welfare/benefits available
Experience required:
•Enhanced DBS on the online update service (ESSENTIAL)
•Previously worked with homeless clients
•IT system – CHAIN (ESSENTIAL)
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
•Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
•Emotional resilience and a diplomatic and pragmatic approach to managing
conflicting priorities and situations
•Confidence to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of services
•The ability to work with confidence and patience with clients unwilling to engage
with services and those that exhibit challenging behaviour
•The ability to work unsociable hours as and when required and to work to targets and deadlines

•37.5 Hours a week.
•Monday – Friday, 12pm-8pm
