Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a council based in Nottinghamshire, who are recruiting for an ASB Officer on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately and is a hybrid role with 2 days from home (after training). The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £25.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience handing ASB cases previously, have an Enhanced DBS certificate and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties working for the public sector.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Responsible for a caseload of 25-30 ASB cases

Investigating all aspects of anti-social behaviour, from initial complaints through to completion

Collating evidence from cases and ensuring that it was prepared for court within an appropriate time frame

Effectively liaising with various organisations including Police, Social Services and support bodies

Dealing with enforcement action where necessary

Responding to tenant complaints, compiling witness statements and interviewing alleged perpetrators

Speaking to victims and perpetrators and taking witness statements

Introducing effective tools to tackle ASB in conjunction with the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Police Act 2014

Reducing the risk of harm to customer’s health and safety through early identification of vulnerabilities

Offering appropriate advice, assistance and signpost to other agencies to safeguard customer’s wellbeing

Experience required:

Experience required in handling and de-escalating various levels of ASB

Experience with completing ASB cases through to court

Experience liaising with external organisations such as the police

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

Organisation and case management

Risk management and conflict de-escalation

Knowledge of court procedures

37 hours per week

Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm
