Job description

Our client, based in Luton, is currently recruiting for an Accommodation Support Worker on a 5-month temporary contract, with a permanent opportunity available following the end of a successful contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and the hourly rate is negotiable based on experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering person-centred support, creating and managing tailored support plans for individuals with complex needs using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments, assessing client needs and developing outcome-focused action plans and risk assessments to guide effective support

  • Facilitating multi-agency collaboration working with internal teams and external professionals to coordinate holistic support for clients

  • Promoting client engagement and well-being, encouraging participation in health services, employment opportunities, and community activities to enhance independence

  • Providing intensive housing management, managing tenancy issues, including rent collection, arrears prevention, and anti-social behaviour, while supporting housing transitions

  • Maintaining property standards and compliance, performing regular inspections and ensuring properties meet legal, health, and safety requirements

  • Recording and monitoring client progress, keeping accurate records of interactions, risk assessments, and progress toward housing and personal goals

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Strong knowledge of housing management, tenancy sustainment, and landlord engagement

  • Hands on experience managing/delivering housing-related support services

  • Confident working with vulnerable individuals in a fast-paced environment

Working hours:

  • Full time (40 hours a week) - In office

  • Monday - Friday

  • Shifts: 7.00am - 3.00pm, 2.00pm - 10.00pm, 9.30am - 7.30pm
