James Andrews: Social Butterflies Since 2009

All work and no play makes James a dull boy, so we encourage our employees to have an active social life, to make friends and enjoy each other’s company outside of the office. According to the Deloitte 2018 Millennial survey, unlike their generational predecessors, Millennials view their jobs as part of their identity and lifestyle, and with them set to make up 50% of the global workforce by 2020, employers need to take this perspective into account. Team socialisation helps to boost company morale and staff motivation by producing a friendly atmosphere to work in, promoting collaboration and supportive colleague networks. Put Your Glad Rags On

Every Christmas we have a glamorous black tie Christmas party, which is a perfect way to wind down at the close of the year and take stock of our achievements with friends. Our staff are our greatest asset and we celebrate them and their commitment with prizes, and generally come together in our best togs to enjoy ourselves.

 

Summer in The City

Our annual summer seminar brings together everyone from the group, with opportunities to swap success stories and raise a glass to the rise of James Andrews. We like to keep our staff engaged and involved, and welcome their contribution. As well as being heaps of fun, the seminar helps to involve the team with the bigger picture of the James Andrews narrative.

 

Painting the Town Orange

Our month-end nights out give each office the chance to let their hair down after working hard all month (and nothing tastes better than a payday pint!). We organise pub crawls and meals out, and get competitive with laser tag, crazy golf and escape rooms. At the end of the first and third quarters, we hire a venue and get the whole James Andrews family together to celebrate – and drinks are on us!
