What drew you towards a career in recruitment?
I love the challenge and the fast paced environment as well as the potential for career progression. I also love speaking with people and building connections so this job seemed perfect for me!
What first attracted you to James Andrews?
The Glassdoor reviews! Always look at these! It helped me make my decision on which company was best for me as it gives you a real insight into what the employees think of the company. All reviews for JARS were great and had the common theme of a great Office Culture which is definitely true!
Why did you decide to seek a graduate role in London?
I was ready to dive into a career but also eager to learn and take it steady as I was fresh out of University. A graduate role seemed to match that perfectly. I also wanted to know that the company I’d be going into take care in how they train their new employees and there is no doubt that JARS do.
Favourite thing about working here so far?
The people! Everyone’s so lovely and welcoming from Day 1. Everyone introduces themselves as well as wanting to get to know you and everyone wants to help one another which is refreshing.
What has surprised you most about being a Recruitment Consultant?
I had always expected to think that Recruitment would be cut throat as that is what I had been told previously, however I was extremely surprised to find that although it is a challenging industry, its one that’s super interesting, insightful and actually fun!
What have you enjoyed most so far about your day-to-day work or training?
The amount of time spent invested into you. It’s also great that if you don’t understand something, management will always slow down for you and ensure that you understand before moving on, no amount of questions asked is bad, they encourage it!, they want you to ask the questions and learn. Overall, it’s amazing how supportive the trainers are!
