Job description

We are currently working with a multidisciplinary construction consultancy firm who offer all professional disciplines and a range of specialist services. They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based around Central London and Kent.

 

The role is a hybrid position, and is due to start on notice. The salary for this position is negotiable based upon experience.

 

Our client is looking for candidates with senior quantity surveyor experience, holding an APC or working towards at a minimum. They must also hold a full UK driving license.

 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing both pre and post contract services, including; budget estimates, cost plans, measurements, valuing works on site, cost reports and agreeing final accounts

  • Ensuring project work meets all relevant technical and professional standards on a consistent basis

  • Utilising creativity to ensure building projects remain within given budget, scrutinising maintenance and material costs to ensure expenses are minimised to the best deals

  • Working with developers to monitor design development and the progress on agreed budgets from initial calculations to final figures

  • Producing tender documentation and providing regular reports, such as feasibility reports

 

Experience required:

  • Extensive surveying experience

  • RICS or working towards

  • Numeracy and budgeting skills

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Financial management and forecasting

  • Negotiation and leadership

  • Problem-solving

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday (offering 2 days working from home)

  • 8:30 - 17:00, but can be flexible to offer work/life balance
