We are currently working with one of Birmingham’s top local employers, are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Clerk on a full time, permanent basis.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days working from home per week. The salary is up to £32,411 dependent upon experience with potential increase once in post.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Sharing responsibility for operational working of multiple payrolls across the organisation ensuring accurate and timely delivery

• Ensuring accuracy of National Insurance and Pension contributions, statutory and overtime payments and income tax

• Providing advice and support on complex payroll related matters to HR, staff, external claimants, agencies and more

• Performing reconciliations and creating reports when necessary

• Maintaining up to date and knowledge of payroll legislations

• Responding to and resolving queries escalated by Payroll Administrators

Experience required:

• Experience in a payroll environment

• Oracle experience is desired but not essential

• Highly proficient IT Skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and skills

• Strong initiative and ability to work to tight deadlines

• Knowledge of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010
