Job description

Our client, based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Administrator on a 3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £17.88 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate must have technical knowledge of repairs and experience within a Housing Association.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Receive and process repair orders and appointments from both internal and external clients and assist with Contract administration duties

  • Allocate repair orders to appropriate operatives or the Responsive Repairs Team Leader where necessary

  • Meet KPI’s and progress repair orders and appointments with contractors

  • Prioritise reported repairs, input, record and generate works orders using internal systems

  • Utilise spreadsheets as appropriate and forward to relevant personal or clients as directed

  • Assist with general administrative duties such as typing/word processing and maintaining and filing information onto internal systems

  • Produce regular reports on works awaiting a start date, in progress and completed, devising spreadsheets and forwarding to relevant personnel or clients as directed

Experience required:

  • Experience working within a Housing Association

  • Experience of managing work schedules and arranging appointments for site operatives

  • Experience of working in a response customer focused service environment

  • Experience of undertaking general administrative tasks, including filing and photocopying etc

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Aptitude to learn systems as required

  • Organise electronic filing systems

  • Problem solving

  • Confidence and ability to give instructions to others

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A knowledge of housing and repairs

  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm
