Job description

​We are delighted to be representing a Housing Association, based in Merseyside, who are looking to appoint a new Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis.

The position offers hybrid working (1 day per week in the office), a salary up to £38,000 and 25 days annual leave, plus Christmas close down and bank holidays.

The client is looking for someone with a strong background in public procurement processes, specifically within the Social Housing sector.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading and managing the end-to-end procurement process on a variety of projects, including contractor frameworks, new build developments and repairs

  • Liaising with key stakeholders to draft tender reports

  • Managing tender moderation meetings with internal and external stakeholders

  • Providing strategic advice to staff and associates, in line with all relevant policies and procedures

  • Responding to enquiries from external suppliers

  • Assisting with procurement training of staff and key stakeholders

Experience required:

  • Two years’ experience within a similar role

  • CIPS qualified (or working towards) is desirable

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Managing a range of tender processes from start to end

  • Demonstrable knowledge of public procurement law

Working hours:
