Job description

Our client, based in Gloucester, are currently recruiting for a Planned Works Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and the salary for the role is £52,755.

The ideal candidate will have Knowledge of Building Surveying and Asset Management, Contract Management, Disrepair and HHSRS all within Social Housing.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing the successful delivery of allocated planned investment projects, from procurement of contractors through to project completion

  • Providing technical advice, support and expertise to a team

  • Managing one-off specialist contracts, including large-scale adaptation works, legal disrepair, retrofit and decarbonisation works

  • Supporting the asset management on all contract and commercial issues and disputes

  • Allocating budgets and completing budget profiling, ensuring expenditure is monitored

  • Overseeing CDM Compliance for the team

  • Line managing a team, including 1:1s and development appraisals

  • Handling tenant complaints relating to planned works programmes as necessary

 

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Experience overseeing the delivery of all retrofit and decarbonisation works

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and budgets

  • Management of staff
