Job description

Our client, based in Bath is currently recruiting for two Planned Maintenance Surveyors on a permanent basis. Our client is the proud provider of 16,000 affordable and sustainable homes in the South West of England.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for the role is £36,686 + £900 car allowance, which is subject to pay reviews.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within Social Housing and desirably hold a HNC or HND qualification. 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Completing surveys of Social Housing properties to identify the necessary planned works to be carried out 

  • Providing detailed reports and specifications of works to subcontractors and internal teams to remedy defects identified

  • Inspecting the work of Trade Operatives following completion, giving recommendations for remedial works

  • Delivering a professional surveying, design and contract administration service, ensuring refurbishment projects successfully meet quality standards required to achieve project objectives

  • Delivering a customer focused and strong project and contract management approach to service delivery, including the principal design, specification and delivery of projects

  • Providing effective progress monitoring, ensuring the customer experience and quality standards are understood, maintained and developed

  • Working closely with the local authority planning departments, ensuring the design, specification and delivery of works is carried out in accordance with statutory requirements

 Experience Desired:

  • Previous working experience in Social Housing

  • HNC or HND qualification

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
