We are delighted to be representing an esteemed not-for-profit organisation based in Birmingham which seeks to celebrate the achievements of young people and their staff and volunteers. They are looking to appoint a new and passionate Night Concierge on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position, on a shift rota of four days on and four days off, including weekends. The salary for this role is £23,212.51 per annum, working 42 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing security cover and at times levels of housing related support to adults and young people living in supported or general needs accommodation. They will be willing to acquire and Enhanced DBS dated within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring a customer friendly service is afforded to all tenants and visitors, providing general advice and assistance where appropriate or arranging appointments

• Providing internal and external security patrols throughout the project in order that all residents and their visitors are safe and can observe a physical point of contact

• Responding to any noise, unwanted behaviour and / or defects

• Carrying out risk assessments and implementing any actions to minimise potential hazards

• Providing accurate detailed reports throughout the shift, recording all significant information

• Acting in accordance with the ethos and values of the association at all times

Experience required:

• Working alongside vulnerable and disadvantaged customers with complex needs

• Working with and supporting other staff to deliver a high-quality support service

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Risk assessment and management

• Recording and observation skills

• Computer literate and willing to develop skills where necessary

• COSHH training qualification

• First aid at work qualifications

Working hours:

• 42hours per week

• Night shift patterns of four days on and four days off (including weekends)

• 8:00 pm to 8:00 am
