Job description

Our client, who is based in the Doncaster area, requires a Mental Health Support Worker to join their team on a temporary basis to provide practical and emotional support to users of the crisis service and callers to the helpline. Our client is looking for the successful candidate to start as early as 23/01/23 and the contract will last for 2-3 months.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Providing practical and emotional support to users of the crisis service and callers to the helpline

  • Providing first line support within a mental health triage service for users who are trying to avoid going to A+E

  • Positively promoting individuals to live independently within the community by maintaining extensive knowledge of and links with community resources together with signposting to specialist services

  • Actively supporting individuals to use these resources, thereby opposing discrimination and encouraging social inclusion

  • Encouraging individuals to uphold community links, continue with their regular life activities and sustain their support networks
