Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in North London, who are recruiting for a Leasehold Officer on a three-month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately, with a strong potential of an extension. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have carried out Section 20 Consultations and have up to date Housing legislation knowledge.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing relationships with third party managing agents, leaseholder & shared-owners
  • Responsibility for resale packs (LPE1)/assignments & staircasing - and dealing with queries
  • Issuing landlord certificates and answering related queries
  • Responsibility for lease extension process and queries
  • Responsibility for Right to Acquire applications, process and queries
  • Responsibility for Alterations/Improvement application and queries, and liaising with surveying department
  • Managing S20 process and respond to observations
  • Dealing with service charges queries

Experience required:

  • Knowledge of the affordable housing sector and understanding of Leasehold management
  • Knowledge of housing management systems

  • Leasehold management

  • Right to buy and right to acquire
  • S20s

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm (flex)
