Job description

Our client, an educational body based in North London, is currently recruiting for a HR Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis and is offering two days per week remote working. The salary for this position is £47,723 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have strong ER experience and knowledge.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Overseeing, coaching and supporting managers with performance management and provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations issues with up to 30 cases at any one time
  • Providing advice, guidance and support for staff and managers on all HR disciplines and policies to drive effective HR practices
  • Developing a strong partnering relationship with senior leaders and managers in designated areas of the business, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective HR strategies and people plans which support their business goals and drive sustained performance to meet targets
  • Advising and guiding on the scoping and implementation of organisational restructures, providing challenge and insight to ensure alignment with the organisation’s strategic direction and goals
  • Providing advice and guidance on action plans to support retention and development of high potential individuals
  • Liaising and working with a variety of trade unions including the NEU and UNISON

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong experience managing a high caseload of a variety of ER cases
  • Previous line management experience
  • CIPD L7 (desirable)

Working Pattern:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
  • 3 days per week onsite, two days WFH
