Job description

Our client, based in Solihull, is currently recruiting for a HR Assistant on a fixed term contract for twelve months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary ranges between £23,000 - £29,000 as is based on candidate’s experience.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

•   Providing help and advice to staff and external parties as and when required in relation to HR matters

•   Supporting with recruitment including drafting of job adverts, advertising vacancies, co-ordinating shortlisting, scheduling and booking interviews and producing recruitment panel packs

•   Managing employee life cycle for successful candidates, including offers letters, issuing contracts, conducting DBS and all pre-employment checks

•   Maintaining staff sickness and absence records for staff on long term absence or maternity leave aswell as updating HR database with employee details for payroll purposes

•   Producing HR letters and correspondence as well as processing staff changes

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

•   Excellent communication/customer service skills

•   Able to use initiative and priorities workload

•   Knowledge of employment law

Working hours:

•   36.5 hours per week

•   Monday - Friday 8am-4pm or 8:30am – 4:30pm
